Uniformed youth organisations descended on Enfield Town Park on Sunday to showcase what they have to offer.
The YOU London event brought together Scouts, The Boys’ Brigade,
Girlguiding, Air, Sea, Police and Army Cadets, The Girls' Brigade and St John’s Ambulance in an afternoon of activities open to all.
During the afternoon activities on offer included an assault course, bungee run, football shoot, water games as well as bands and competitions in the arena with all organisations taking part.
Chris Norman, who leads a local Boys’ Brigade group in Compton Road, Winchmore Hill said “It has been a great opportunity to showcase some of the activities we offer children & young people. There are groups located across the Borough offering a wide range of activities, so if your son or daughter is not already involved then get in contact with us to find out what they could be part of”.
A growing number of young people are joining youth organisations and to enable this growth to continue groups are looking for new volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering just a small amount of time to make a big difference in the lives of children and young people then contact your local group today!
